i just want to get my voice heard.

when i first saw the topic i thought it should be in the "Computer Case" forum since i interpreted the title as "how to keep ur computer clean from dusts"

maybe change the title while u are at it. otherwise, good guide

I've messed with using firewall programs such as Zone Alarm on the better end, to whatever the Norton's product is called on the worst end and a few others and although the functionality was decent. I found most of them to be fairly aggravating in terms of setup and/or asking far too many questions.

Although I consider myself an experienced PC user and I desire to have my PC protected. I find that my maximum degree of "hassle" is fairly low.

Having messed with software and hardware firewalls, as well as software and hardware proxy servers, I find the intrusion into my "computing experience" to be too great most of the time and for me personally these things hinder my computing ability.

I regularly use a hardware firewall and I find its level of intrusion a good balance of protection and ease of use. However, after reading this article I think I may go try out a few of those software firewalls you recommended again.
