that's not the coolers fault, it's your 3570 which most likely needs deliding to be able to bring temps to tolerable levels..

Yeah that contributes as well.

This may be hypocritical, since I've contributed to this thread, bit maybe we should knock off the argueing in this thread to clean it up a bit.

I like the latest case but other than that I wouldnt buy alienware lol

though considering alienwares usual inflated pricing schemes you got yourself a decent rig for a normal price, so nice find OP

The only thing unique is the case. Other than that, bad buy. Dell mobos/rebrands are terrible, and you would not be able to overclock.

I don't think you know what the word "validity" means.

He just paid the lowest markup on a new Alienware I've ever seen. Any given transaction can be a deal when compared to another transaction. Compared to the people buying Alienware PCs retail, he got a great deal.

His computer also came pre-assembled and has a warranty.

You can tell them this over and over and over...
but....
It doesn't matter what anyone says to the contrary, they will still believe in their ignorant hate for alienware.
It's really immature.

The worst thing about buying an alienware is the harassment and ridicule you get for owning one. Other then that Alienware is great, they've made a lifelong customer out of me.
Its amazing to see how far they've come from the simple rebrander they used to be, to the full OEM they are now.

I love when people say "alienware is dell" it shows how stupid they are. It shows they have no idea how corporate subsidiaries work, it shows how mind numbingly blind they are. Alienware and dell are 2 different OEMs, but they don't care! ITS ALL DELL, and some how that's a bad thing... even though alienware's support is separate from dell... Alienware uses its own oem products like motherboards, graphics cards psu's and cases....alienware produces significantly different and independent product lines from Dell, and Alienware has a general manager that has been with Alienware for over 14 years...(Frank Azor)
But no one gives a dang because "oh its alienware, that's bad"

Lol no matter what's said, ignorant haters abound.

Alienware comes with the ability to overclock their cpus..It is a gaming cpu. You can do it yourself or pay dell to overclock it at the factory. They watercooler they have isnt that bad but running a 4.7 overclock wont be an easybake oven venting heat thats for sure. Everyone complains about dells prices and what not but what you dont realize is OUR custom built pc's have warranties on every piece we buy and some are 30 to 60 days and if your lucky up to a year. Alienware on the other hand comes with a 3 yr warranty on the whole shabang. Can you say that about your custom rig???? NO.. So remember what people pay isnt just for hardware.. its for a warranty that far succeeds what we have. Kudos on finding a deal and being happy with your pc. thumb.gif

Actually its 1 year standard with paid shipping on any replacements and service for a full year.
The extended warrenties can go up to 4years though.
When I get my M17X R4 i'm going to call in and see if I cant get a deal on a 4 year extended service warrenty, because Alienware's warrenty is freaking AWESOME.
My hard drive failed a few times in my M14X because I can be pretty rough with a computer... They gave me a 512 GB SSD FREE OF CHARGE as a replacement. And on the phone they were more worried about me being unhappy about losing 200Gigs of storage space because they were going to give me a 512GB SSD.
I heard they wanted to give me the SSD and my jaw hit the floor.
I was like "no no its cool I can deal with 200gigs less data for a 9second boot timer and extreme durability, hellyeah"

1 business day later.
512gig SSD, ITS SO QUICK OMG, im in love.

So tell me, just how do you go and find a better deal than an i5 3210 2.5ghz, GT650, 6GB 1600mhz, 512GB SSD, 900P 92% NTSC screen?
I paid 1250$ for my laptop including taxes and 2nd day shipping...
