Dell 3007 30" vs westinghouse 37" 1080p review!!!! - Page 3

I gotta tell you Ninja_Boy that the bigger the better basically. As long as it is high resolution it still looks great and you don't have to sit right next to your monitor. I kick back about 6 feet away from mine with my feet up on a foot rest. It is pretty nice compared to being cramped up under a desk. Plus is greatly lessens the risk of my clumsy ass spilling stuff on my computer.

Electornics, and Sony can find a way to fit more pixels in a smaller area so you could have like 2560x1600 in a 24" display would look amazing AND you'd need Quad SLi due to the number of pixels. Great Review, Rep+

Kind of what Malazeil is saying is: If you want smaller pixel size, just move the monitor further away from you! I guess that might mean you have to mount it to the wall behind your desk though

I'm suprised with SLi 8800's you had trouble with 2560x1600! I knew SLi 8800's would be required for that resolution but had no idea it would still bog down. Wow! Guess there is a need for all that GPU power!

it was a driver problem that posed the problem, i since reinstalled the drivers, and with the 1900x1080, my fps went way up, 60-80fps with oblivion in the outdoors.

also here is the wallpaper with the grass and planets, optimized for 1900x1080

Unless it's already gone..

PM me if you decide to do it.

the dells gone unfortunatly, it went back soon after the test. i know that the vid cards with the fixed drivers would handle it, but it would just put a lot of un needed strain on the cards, when in fact, i couldnt even tell the differance between 2500x1900 to 1900x1080.

Great test. I picked up the 37w3 a couple weeks ago. Haven't been able to do much on it since I haven't built my new rig, yet. I am not sure I'll be able to pick up one, let alone two 8800GTX's. Do you think I'd be able to handle the 1920 x 1080 with an 8800GTS? Or even an x1900xtx or 7900GTX?

Thanks,

Joe
