This is my first dual loop build. Using the NZXT Phantom, Full Tower case, XSPC/Monsoon/EK water cooling, and AMD eight core processor.
I have already started the cable sleeving and carbon fiber detailing. I will be adding a few extra touches that I hope will take this project from a been there, seen that type of build to a WOW! I will post some of the pics so far, and I will add more as the build progresses. I hope you all enjoy.
Oh yes. Will be running Dual loop (one for AMD 8 core and one for 2GTX660 graphics cards in SLI and in series using an EK FC Bridge Dual Serial CSQ - SLI Connection and 2 EK GeForce 660 GTX VGA Liquid Cooling Blocks) and Dual rads in an external rad box. Also will be swapping out the 200mm side fan window for acrylic. Adding lighting for the Bitspower Water Tank Z-Multi 250 Inline Reservoir. Some custom covers for the mobo wire management ports and Drive bays that will include handcut badging and lighting. Who knows what else will tickle my creative fancy along the way. I've got around a $3,000 USD grocery bill so far, but meh......it's only money, RIGHT? More parts arriving this week and the next four weeks. I will add the specs list once I have final decision on a few optional pieces and of course LOTS of pics along the way!

Mr. Fed Ex was nice and brought me some more Rig Candy this week, so I've been plotting, scheming and cutting...boo haha.
Teaser shot of the new 250mL Res....
Also, got the Red replacement LEDs to change the XSPC Raystorm Blue ones out and some other cable odds and ends
Ordered some .125mm Styrene for some internal panels. Heres some during and after shots and a test fit or two....
Sunday I will be working on another panel for the cable management ports and swapping the Blue LEDs out with the new Reds.
Sunday 5/12/2013 - I'm sick..I hate being sick, so I decided maybe some mod work would help me feel better. It did until the fumes wore off, but I have some updated pics......
Now it's time to physically lay out the cooling loops. This is gonna be fun!
Been sick with walking Pneumonia....ugh. I have a bunch of pics to load and the First draft of the Spec sheet. I will load those this weekend, along with the pics of the Crosshair mobo in place.
i saw xspc is releasing a bunch of their stuff in red (res, rad, cpu block). bet some of that would look amazing in this build. regardless lookin awesome.
yeah, I saw that too...might look into replacing the CPU block and or CPU res with one of those before the loop is closed for leak testingceiv On another note, I just received the news that PPCS is out of stock on EK blocks for the GTX 660s and it's a discontinued build, so I may have to upgrade the cards, adding another grand or so to the cost of the build...UGGHHHH. It's only money though!
I'm glad you like the build so far. I'm working on more this week since I'm on "staycation" until Monday.
Phobya Nova 1080 Rad and the fans arrived. Here's some Rad porn
Also swapped out the 3mm Blue LEDS on the Raystorm CPU block with 5mm Red ones....
The replacement Red LED NZXT top fan came in. Sprayed the fins red to keep consistant and this is the result
Sorry it's been a while since there was an update here. I have more pics to add, but I've been pulled away by that pesky adult responsibility stuff for a bit. I'm back to being a kid again, so i will be adding more pics tonight after work
I'm considering in getting one of those myself, and if you use it to cool your CPU then please let me know your max stable overclock and the temperatures
thank you both!
The 1080 is for the serial gpu loop. Im still bouncing around ideas on the cpu rad.
I have more pics to post which I will do when I get home from the day job.
New pics, as promised!
also doing some test fitting of bridge and blocks without cards attached. I'm still visualizing the loop layout as it changes each time I add a new component...LOL
Also the MCP655 pump is installed and I've been playing with loop configs off of it as well.
The GPU cards will get blocked this week and I have to finalize another $300ish order for fittings and toys from PPCS.
It's getting there, but I'm taking my time and doing everything exactly the way I want for a change
Thank you very much. It has really been a fun build to work on. The NZXT Phantom is very well laid out with lots of built in mod options. I bought it for the angular aesthetics of the exterior, but working on the interior has been fun and a great learning experience as always.
thanks...hehe. I like the red and black. Everyone over on the watercooling thread has this "I'm so sick of red and black" attitude, but they are all doing black and green or black and blue or white and gold for the most part. Someday I'm gonna do a build in freakin rainbow colors just to watch them trip over themselves...hehe.
BTW...the next build is Brown, Copper, Bronze, Gold and involves gemstones, pearls, glass, a faberge egg, watercooling and a 6 foot, glass front Curio cabinet for the case
I'm still working on my build. Lime Green is my favorite color, and my theme for the build is centered around those little Turtles from the Mario games so my dad painted my case Lime Green, put some carbon fiber on it, and put a yellow pinstripe around the front. Painted my keyboard the same green, too. Looks neat.
My next build I want to do a Metroid themed scheme.
I think you should do a rainbow build for the heck of it too! Think of how twinkly that would be
The acrylic window replacement side panel arrived yesterday. I will be testing temps of case interior and components with it installed and then compare them with the temps of the mesh side panel. I want to be able to show off whats "under the hood" but I just want to make sure I'm not causing significant ambient temp increases and causing the freshly cooled "water" to get warmed up drastically before even hitting the blocks.
I know ambient temps will cause fluctuations in water temp, but I don't want it to be so drastic that it causes my "Bling" to make my GPUs go BANG! LOL Once the loop is done, I will take digital ambient air temps (inside and surrounding the case) when system is off/after idle for 30 mins/after 30 mins of benching and then swap side panels and run same set of tests and compare. I will share my results with all you fine people here of course
