[Build Log] 900D with Acrylic Tubes! Hopefully Inverted ATX!! - First WC Rig (SLOW PROGRESS) - Page 2

Hi WuMyster,

That's me subbed to your fantastic sounding build. I am also in the UK and also planning a TJ07 build. I am currently waiting for my case to arrive from Chilled PC pre-modded with a powdercoated interior and an adapted roof to take a 360 rad.

I too like the cold zero parts but am waiting to get my hands on the case before ordering anything else. I am thinking of getting exactly the same parts as yourself except I will be sticking with the standard ATX layout.

Good luck with the build. I look forward to seeing your progress.

Thanks mate! Im also getting together the funds for the chilled pc TJ07!
I actually havent listed all the CZ parts. Im currently talking with Ricardo there about getting some custom cuts done! Murdermod / MDPC inspiration going on!
Mate, I gotta love the inverted look. Seeing that GPU waterblock!

Thanks mate, ill be continuing on regardless of my last post! Just gunna take more time but Ill be seeking for a perfect build that people will be improssed with!

Good luck to you too! Send me over some pics when youre done!

UPDATE: Small update to 2 posts before. Looks like the Sabertooth Z77 was DOA and since i bought it off eBay, I wont be getting any RMA or refund.... tough luck really.
On the hunt for a all black mobo. GA-Z77-UD4H is appealing but those blue accents might annoy me a bit too much. Got 2 weeks to find something before I have to purchase. Currently using a crusty old laptop and I cant live without the PC!
If anyone has any good Z77 all black motherboards, feel free to drop a post!

Case will be ordered in about a month or two. Currently talking to Tom over there to talk about some mods he can do for me!

I originally had a GA-Z77-UD3H and just painted the sinks black. Pics in my buildlog...somewhere at the start. Just an idea

Ive thought of doing that but losing the warranty would suck for me. Though the UD3H isnt very expensive....
What paint did you use? Any heat dissipation affects?

Used Dulux High Heat Matte Black. Not sure if it would be available in other countries...

never really monitored temps on it to be honest

Now Im not sure whether or not to ditch the TJ07 for the 900D.
Many pros for getting the 900D. Almost £200 cheaper and is large as hell so I can fit 2 quad rads and more. However, its so big, that it would make my whole room look obscure as it would have to be in the middle of my 3m table or at the opposite end of where my monitors would be. If only I could invert it, it would be the best option...
Thoughts?

£200 is a lot of money. I'd say go 900D and spend that £200 on rads!

Mind is set on the 900D now. Emailed Ricardo at ColdZero and he says he'll be making parts for the 900D so all is good! Hes just waiting on his 900D to get there!
Can fit a bunch of push/pull rads.
Looks like the 900D will be the one!

Don't do it! Yes, the 900D is very stylish and has plenty of space for radiators but it is just ridiculously huge and nowhere near as good looking as the TJ07.

I am finally getting my Cold Zero modded TJ07 today so I may be a bit biased
