Okay, some more questions for you people, brace yourself, that's gonna be long !

The part list, just in case : http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/stnz/saved/1s5c
_________________________________________

First, again a doubt on the MOBO after reading horror stories about MSI RMA % and that kind of stuff -__-
Between these two, which one would you chose : Asus - Sabertooth (Z77) or MSI - MPOWER (Z77) ?

The Sabertooth is priced 234$ here in Canada, and the MPOWER around 210$ (8GB of Ballistic sport free with it on newegg, 1600 CAS 9). Also, if I were to go with the MPOWER, I would probably buy a second 8GB stick of the exact same kind (going at 52$), that'd be 16GB for 52$, quite cheap IMO.

Which deal would you go for ?
_________________________________________

Second doubt, about the GPU :

Would you for a GTX 680 2GB (priced around 460) or a GTX 670 FTW+ 4GB (priced around 450) ? The answer seems obvious but I just want to be sure.
_________________________________________

I received my case today \o/ (the define R4, around 110 with shipping and taxes included), I was playing shirtless when the UPS girl rang, my gf opened.. I tell you, both the delivery girl and my gf did not expect me shirtless.. The look on their face, priceless :'D. Anyway. My 3770K is on his way as well, payed 121 shipping included, I guess I'll have to pay around 30$ of custom when it arrives here. Can't wait (to receive the CPU, not to pay for customs..)
_________________________________________

Finally, I'm going for a black and white scheme as you know,
I did a quick sketch (when I say quick, I mean 5 minutes) of what I would like it to look like :

It's a missing a few stuff like the RAM etc. but basically the main question are :

  • FAN : I would order 4 x AF120 Performance Edition (and use the white band obviously) and 2 x SP120 (white as well, as replacement fan for my H100i) : 1 in the back, 1 in the bottom, 2 in the front, 2 on the H100i. I've heard good reviews and have seen these fans in action but still have some questions : first, should I go with AF140 instead for more airflow ? There is no twinpack of these apparently, it's gonna cost a bit more and I'm already at 90$ just in fans (looks a bit dumb doesn't it) and my second and most important question is, what do you guys recommend ? I'm willing to spend as much as 90 so far so the budget is quite high just for fans, heard some good comments about the Gentle Typhoons, what else do you guys have ? The only obligation is that they need to be good (obviously) and white (and yes I wish Noctua could make white fan, thought about repainting but it's a hell of trouble..).

  • GPU : Is there anyway I could either paint or put tape/vynil on the side of the two GPUs mentionned above so the 'GTX 670 or 680' label would look white instead of green ? I really like to tweak around and art is my thing so I ain't scared ! I just want to be sure to do it the right way so it looks good and last long. If I go for the MPOWER I would also replace the yellow vynils by white ones or cover them entirely in black.

  • CASE : Does anyone own the Define R4 ? If yes, have you ever tried to rotate the bottom HDD bay ? Thing is I will have one SSD and two HDD (1x1TB & 1x320GB), if not in the bay, where could I mount them ? I know I can put the SSD in the back and one of the two in the optical bay.. but what about the third one ? If no answer to this one I'll go to the Fractal Design Case Club and ask around. Finally, where could I buy the white tape/vynil and or the carbon tape/vynil used in this picture : http://cdn.overclock.net/d/d8/900x900px-LL-d84d8e98_07122012031.jpeg.

  • LEDS : Any idea LED wise ? I would be searching for two stripes of white leds (bottom and top), if you have any idea or something better ! Do not hesitate !

(I would) get the Mpower. The RAM is nice too.

If you're willing to spend some extra, go ahead and buy AF140s. No need to look into other fans, by the way, the Corsair SP/AF series are great and look absolutely fantastic.

As for the GPU, I'd still go with the 670 FTW+ 4GB. When it comes to coloring the lettering and the Mpower accents, I might actually paint them if I were you. Idk.

So 1 for the mpower, 1 for the sabertooth, waiting for some more ! And 1 for an used 680 and 1 for a 780, to be honest I have some trouble considering to pay 750 for a graphic card only, 400 to 500 is already pretty big to me, might as well wait for their price to go down once AMD releases something that could concurrence it. Thank you for your opinion guys

Ya the 780 may be $750+ after all is said and done, but on the other side, it performs on par if not better then the GTX Titan, which is $1100+ after everything.

780 is a good 10-15% slower than titan. Not on par, definitely not. I don't see how a cutdown titan can perform on par with titan :|

Well yes it is a little slower, it does beat it in a few games, kind of rare. But its only like 5-6% slower and almost 30% cheaper and overclocked it adds about 10-15% FPS.

PS: I like your new profile pic!

Yeah but the thing is that 750$ is currently the price of :
My MOBO, my PSU, My SSD, My Cooler and my CD/DVD Drive..
I don't know, I find it hard to spend more than 400$ on a CPU especially considering that 6 month later it's going to half its price..
For the needs I have I think I'll stick with one of the two choices I mentioned above.
