I would try it anyway. Don't know if it will help or not, but it will help narrow the issue.

Sorry, I did not real the entire thread.

I assume you have tried multiple configurations of multimonitor connectings to ensure that is not the issue? There is DVI, VGA, and HDMI, so try HDMI+DVI or VGA+HDMI or DVI+VGA.
Also, try switching to a dual link DVI if you are using single link. I had an issue with mine (Z77E4) giving a fit on boot after installing PC-BSD, and switching the cable fixed it.

I'm using a VGA cable (monitor's only connection) to my graphics card which has a VGA TO DVI adapter so it fits. Works fine no problem and always has. The multi-monitor thing won't have a monitor connected to it, it is purely for, in my case, lucid virtu (it's crap, but ignore that tongue.gif it's not installed as of yet because my igpu is not enabled by enabling multi-monitor) so.. yeah haha. If that helps?

I had the same problem with my MSI board. If i remember right, i had to install the lucid driver first . Then go into the bios and change the setting to run multiscreen. If i didn't , it would just boot loop.
