If you paid £50 difference it's a no-brainer, the observation was the X is normally £999 (even more than the Titan in the UK), which is a good £600 over the 3930K.

But we get royally screwed in the UK to begin with in my opinion. I'd jump at a second Titan for 'only' $1000, £650 would be an absolute bargain. thumb.gif

Cheers bud, yeah I wouldn't have gone for the 3960X otherwise. 3960X was £500 VS £450 for the 3930K. It is a very nice chip, sits at 4.5Ghz and low 70c's.

With the GPU's I prefer to spend under £400 for a decent single GPU, the current cards just aren't a big enough leap to justify the current prices imho. That's why I went for a pair of 660's, £210 for both was ideal.

Like I say I'm knocking anyone Else's choice, it's just I would prefer to wait for something with better value for what I want. The GTX 780 looks like it could be very decent, but if it's priced sky high I will just wait until AMD bring something to counter it..

Honestly, If I was getting deals like that, it doesn't matter if I have to drive from Kent to Shetland and back wink.gif

Meh at UK 3930K prices. I paid 580€ for my 3930K and that was a cheap one, usually they're over 600€.

Got a good one though (was benching today at 5.3ghz w/ 1.49v. Also does 5GHz in cine at 1.29v, and prime stable at 1.35v thumb.gif). You guys in the US are lucky when it comes to pricing.

Haha, I'm a system builder (Spare time) so can get some good deals from time to time on trade accounts. Some good places, Ballicom, Novatech, of course Amazon UK best retailer, will price match anything. Oh and Flubit for any price you find..

The 660's were actually a pricing error in the UK. Everywhere was selling them for £100 a pop, I managed to grab two before the prices got corrected, luvly jubbly thumb.gifbiggrin.gif

Absolutely it does. How many AMD users complain about poor performance with their games on day 1... No driver optimizations until weeks/months after release.

The whole tomb raider fiasco with nVidia single GPU cards was greeted with the response from AMD owners "Welcome to what we have always had to deal with."

Shall I start he political discussion about that trade off they have for those cheap prices? rolleyes.gif
Still who needs social security especially for OCN'ers who can provide for themselves because they have a decent amount of skill (the 99% of them)
