When I am thinking about "level up" everything that comes to mind is something related to a video game and not hardware. I'd very much hope for this to be hardware, but I don't think it is going to happen.
I hope AMD proves me wrong and bring something to compete against the 7XX.

Marketing at its finest lol.

Not sure I understand what's wrong with AMD marketing their products? I mean, the data is still accurate. Of course they want to make it look as impressive as possible. The important thing to remember is that AMD is still going to be trying to sell 2 year old hardware against Nvidia's new 7xx series. No matter how they try to market that (even by pointing out that some are just rebadges) its an uphill battle to convince people to buy old hardware when new stuff is available...

It's not the marketing itelf, it's the purposely deceptive scale all the marketing charts seem to use to make a 1% difference seem like 10%, and a 10% difference look like 100%.

Is it not? I'm pretty sure that the 7970GE will indeed be faster than the 770 in those games if it is just a rebadged 680. Where is the data wrong?

No, it is not totally about that and I am not blaming AMD, but I don't have time to keep RMAing cards because their is an issue. Overly build quality seems to be lower when you deal with Non-reference cards. And I think that is why I had an issue with everyone of those cards.

Mine were all non-reference as well i feel your pain, had i not replaced the XFX i'd be without a 7970 for 5 months now.
