If that link's information is accurate, the 780 would slot in well between the existing 680 and TITAN.

That link isn't working for me.... Just for kicks from like 2 weeks ago.smile.gif

Alatar's quote says 3GB & 384 bit? That actually makes more sense, 320 bit would deliver 2.5 GB RAM...

Some Chinese site saying this about the 780:
4000 yuan would be almost exactly $650

If true that would make the 780 exactly what I guessed.

On the same page. thumb.gif

If it's $599 it will be spot on.

I don't see a 320 bit 3 GB card though, JMO. The $599 is very likely for the 780 though. wink.gif

Your Reward (Click to show)

The card that makes the most sense at this point as a 780 is 2304 cores, 384 bit, 3GB, 40 ROP's, $599.

Depending on clocks about 20% - 25% faster than a 680.

I know this goes against the grain of a thread like this, but the one card I'm most interested to see details on is the hypothetical GTX 760.

If they could fit at least 6 SMX clusters (i.e. 1152 CUDA cores) with 2GB of VRAM on a 256-bit bus and decent clock speeds for an MSRP at or below $250, I believe that it would make for an excellent mid-range 1080p card.

Nvidia pricing is so stupid, there is no price drops?! Right now it's more performance = cost more. Imagine we had this for gens, high end card are 10 times more powerful they where years ago so they should be priced at 5k$

Um, they already dropped prices on GTX 600-series cards less than two months ago.

I don't understand what's so hard to get about the fact that pricing is a fluid process. Values go up and down depending on a myriad of factors. There is no set price that flagship video cards have to adhere to. Sometimes $500 will buy you the best of the best and sometimes it won't. Get over it. rolleyes.gif

Do you think they'll go down considerably though? I feel like 50$ would be wishful thinking. That would put some 670s below the 300$ mark if they kept their rebate and most at 299$

Hell after the rumors about the next AMD chip, I almost just wanna wait for that tongue.gif
Was going to go GTX780 as I didn't want to wait till the end of the year for a simple AMD refresh, but the Titan destroyer sounds better. Still don't have a GPU horsepower problem, hell if you can get 10k+ on 3dmark 11 then I would say your good for any game, but VRAM is my biggest problem.
