[eTeknix] The new NZXT H630 "Ultra" Case unveiled! - Page 27

Looking at the reviews, i think you cannot mount the fans inside the top panel or it will hit the sound dampening material or it will cause poor exhaust and the only way to install the fans is above the motherboard where you could see the mounting holes by looking upwards inside the case... I maybe wrong about this since there is no comment on the reviews I've read or maybe i missed something.

Hoping someone can confirm this.

Just Read the post of XNine from other site forums and he think it could be able to fit a 60mm thick rad underneath the top, with fans under the top panel, depending on the motherboard chosen.

If you could put a fan on top and inside the panel, would it hit the sound dampening material and may cause poor airflow?

Little FAQ about the case:

Look at the top part.... Kraken X60 is about 27 mm thick + fans 25. You have total about 60 mm until the top of the motherboard.

Fans at the top outside of the case is not an option: look at the top panel thickness, plus inside there is probably noise pampening material already.

Yes, you can try to fit the 400 mm radiators in this case. That will work BUT! at the top is not enough space so only radiator or only fans, need some modding and cutting only top of the motberboard tray. MB will be holded as with the stock panel. 5.25 bay should be removed also.

At the front we can have one or two 400 mm radiators together in push-pull if remove the back metal panel which holds hdd cages and 5.25 slots.

Sound daempening material WILL NOT help if you are using high RPM fans or noisy GPU coolers like a stock fan always or Twin Frozr in load. If you have no choice, it will help just a little bit.

I have some questions regarding the fan filters.

Is there a pic of the front fan filter? Is it removable for easy cleaning?

Can I put a top fan filter so that I can you both 3X120 rads as intake?

We should talk more about the max thickness of the front rad...

Thanks!!!

As i'm converting from a HAF X, i loaded up seperate reviews for acoustics, the NZXT is obviously quieter, but the NZXT only comes with 2 fans, The HAF X comes with 4, if i loaded up the NZXT with quieter 200mm Megaflows, i really wonder how the sound would be from it...

Ok...first: stock fans almost always is a piece of crap and if you want silent system, you should change then and put fan controller. Secondary: HAF X is hard case to clean, many corners, no fastly removable dust filter at the front.... H630 completely kills the HAF X in all options.

I'm definitely going to upgrade to this and go watercooling when Haswell launches. 360 radiator in the front and top thumb.gif

That's my plan too, although I will get at first a single 360 rad (well, I have a single GPU setup anyway )

That's because it's a terrible review. You could get the same information from your website with better pictures of 'real' builds. I'll wait for overclock3d.net's review. Only reviews for cases that are ever worth watching.
