With this one your new stock clocks should be 1000/1250, please check these are your defaults in CCC when you are booting in UEFI mode

Also please let me know if your voltage is locked in UEFI mode

Default clocks are being reported as 1000/1375 but current clocks always say 1000/1425. Voltage is locked in UEFI. When using GPU Z rendering test, the clocks only go to 500/150 while under load. Used both Afterburner and Trixx with same result.

Atleast it works though :-)

Go into catalyst control centre and reset clocks and try again but then also use trixx and boost voltage, I think its only going to 500 because its not getting enough volts

There seems to be a mistake in that one anyway, try this one:

FX797A.zip 105k .zip file

Hopefully this one has the correct 1000/1250 clocks

Sapphire trixx should be able to change voltage so if its only going to 500 under load again try trixx to higher voltage BUT try using gpuz log to file and open a game up first to check load clocks as it might be that your bios is set to only go to 500 under small loads like that render test...

I can't flash the modded bios, atiflash refused it with error "Invalid PC BIOS image" / Error 0FL01. I guess this is not as expected.
The downloaded version has a md5-sum of 67ce02d2ff9a1150bd763f21f0808cec.

Any hints?

Did you flash using command prompt following the instructions linked in the op?

It also seems to have, sadly, an angry dislike of S3 sleep wake and I end up with a black screen.

Did you try using the cmd "atiwinflash -f -p 0 *filename_here*.rom"?

Ok, with "-f" i was able to flash the modded bios, but results are not as expected. So, feedback-time:

1. log from flashing with -f -p 0 GOP.ROM

Now, booting with CSM enabled or CSM-Auto (Asus P8Z77-M Pro) works as normal, same Clocks etc.

But, if try UEFI-Gop booting (CSM disabled) my system hangs complete - screen does not got any signal, no keyboard, no soft-powerr buttons works.
I need to switch to stock bios, then the systems comes back with the detection that (now stock) bios from the card does not support UEFI-GOP ahd therefore CSM was automatically enabled.

Going to sleep now ...

Really interested in this for my MSI 7970 Lightning.

I see that on MSI forums they are taking requests from users for UEFI GOP vBios, but I cant bloomin register in it as my activation link never works frown.gif

They do ask for card serial number though ? I wonder why this is ? It seems to be important for some reason.

If I want one modded in here, do i need to supply both the standard and LN2 bios's ?

Note i'm on the non BE version.
