No rush.

XFX 7970 Black Edition with dual bios switch
FX-797A-TNBC v1.0
Default Clocks: 1000core 1425mem
XFX Product Link

FX797A.zip 41k .zip file

Ok try this one:

FX797A.zip 105k .zip file

With this one your new stock clocks should be 1000/1250, please check these are your defaults in CCC when you are booting in UEFI mode

Also please let me know if your voltage is locked in UEFI mode

Sapphire Product Link

Would love to test UEFI-Gop, beside Win8 i can also provide information how it works with OS-X 10.8 / Clover UEFI boot and Fedora 18/UEFI-Boot.

Sapphire7950_c0000.rom.zip 41k .zip file

EDIT: Infos included as requested, also Screenshot GPU-Z
Thank's a lot for your hard work!

Try this one:

Sapphire7950_c0000.rom.zip 106k .zip file

This time your clocks should be the same but please let me know if voltage is locked (I'm 99% sure it wont be on this one)

Sapphire 7950 Mac Edition (this card has two bios's , one for mac and one for pc .. Attached is mac bios which doesnt have uefi gop)

http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1157&pid=1777&psn=&lid=1&leg=0

MAC7950.zip 88k .zip file

Mac is a whole different ball game I'm afraid, in the mac bios there is special code for mac's where UEFI Gop would be in a UEFI Gop bios meaning you cant have both

Please to all that I have provided a new UEFI Gop bios for please check all clocks are what I have said they should be both booting in Ultra Fast boot and in normal boot mode. To check clocks go into Catalyst Control Centre and hit the set defaults button.

Also please compare voltage in both Ultra Fast boot and in normal boot mode and see if they are the same and also check if voltages are locked

Most importantly report back and let me know

The Asus HD7970-3GD5 BIOS again hung on error 97 on my Rampage IV.

The GHz edition BIOS once again works fine for Ultra Fast boot but no voltage control. Both BIOS clock speeds were as advertised at 925/1250 and 1000/1250

Alrighty, I'll give it a go.

EDIT: I get a slider with Trixx but according to HWiNFO64, no voltage change.

That seems to have worked. I get GPU voltage change. Only annoying thing is there's no 2D/3D profiles or OSD in Trixx
