Should I use EVGA Step Up For My 680 SC Signature 2's?

I'm getting pretty close to the cut off date to use step up on my cards. I really like my cards but I'm curious to know what everyone here thinks, so a couple of questions lol.

1: I know the 700 series of cards are being released on the 23rd and my step up ends just a few days after that. Does anyone think that EVGA will make any of those cards available (780 or 770) for Step Up around release?

2: I could Step Up to the GTX680 4GB+ with backplate for like $50.00 through the program. I know this card would be a little bit slower (and uses reference fan) but it has twice the memory. Here's a comparison, any opinions on if the extra 2GB is worth it? Would I see a difference on my 1440p monitor? http://www.evga.com/Products/Compare.aspx

3: Or I could keep the cards and sell them to try and upgrade later.

So there are my options, thanks in advance everyone, look forward to hearing from you!

1. I would wait until the new 700 series cards are released. If EVGA offers them for step up before you are no longer eligible for upgrade.

2. 2GB is enough for 1440p, I would only upgrade to 4GB if you plan to upgrade to triple monitor, where the extra RAM will actually get used.

3. If the 700 series cards are not available for the step up program, then just hold onto the cards, and sell them later in order to upgrade.

Has anybody used the EVGA Step Up program before? I'm really curious to know if they will allow people to Step Up to the new cards at launch or not. Anyone remember when the last set of cards came out what they allowed?
