No one thinks this game reminds you of Cryostasis?

Fov Comparison for you guys

To Change FOV go to users/your user/appdata/local/4agames/metroll/

you will find cfg file there, open it and press ctril+f and type Fov and change it to your needs

also I made mistake its vertical fov on screens, not horizontal

game runs much better! Double the fps on Amd cards now

Question to thread:
I currently play at Ranger Normal, Do you think that Original Hardcore is harder against enemies?

Currently the game is quite easy and ammo is plenty, but I am currently Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
escaping "the Red" zone.

YES! I can't wait to get home from work and give it a shot! 2 days for a fix isn't bad at all!

Any analysis on the issue of severe slowdown when looking at certain lights directly? I am having huge performance issues with this game.

Frankly I dont see how people think this one is better optimised then 2033. Maybe for single csrds but multi-gpu systems have much lower GPU utilisation percentages and much worst scaling than the original. 2033 had near perfect linear scaling across multi GPU systems. So if you added another card you practically got 100% increase in FPS. Definitely not so with this one. Strange, considering this is the same engine. I hope this has something to do with the sli compatibility bits and the drivers as opposed to heavy CPU utilisation in the core engine. The latter isn't fixable.

Just finished my Metro 2033 playthrough, now onto Last Light!

What FPS does everyone get in the first playable scene? This is as far as I've gotten so far.
At 1920x1080 default settings to Very High. No SSAA, No V-sync. AFx16.

I see 90+ FPS.

GTX 470 is at core 830.
Huge difference from 2033.

Do you have an AMD card? There´s a new patch that apparently fixes many AMD issues.

I can say 2033´s achilles heel was the advanced DOF feature. It destroyed the FPS. If you disabled DOF, the game ran super fine.

I´ve had no issues with LL at all. Granted I´m using SLI TITANs. Only seeing people complaining about FPS drops with SSAA turned on, and apparently most of them don´t even know what SSAA means, and how heavy on the FPS department it naturally is.

SSAA is the new trend, it seems, implemented to bring top PCs to their knees, and just to please the geeks that MUST run "maxed out" games, even @ 30-40 average FPS.
