Recommend an MMO - Page 6

Yup AION is a pretty solid MMO overall. It came after Lineage 2 and I think they used it for a bit of inspiration. I played Lineage 2 for about 5 ou 6 years so that game pretty much made my childhood. Main thing in AION is that you can FLY! And its awesome, you can also PVP while flying. The F2P model they are using (at least the NA one) isn't P2W for sure. I played it again when it went F2P and lvlved a Ranger till LVL 32 or smthing.. then got bored

i don't know if scarlet balde is your thing, but i'd say give it a try. it's a bit grindy on the pve, but there are dungeons and they are repeatable + large emphasis on rare gear dropped from repeated dungeon runs. there's a big pvp element that's a little neccesary to do (quests in pvp zones) but it's not too bad.

I disagree.
I think TERA is a great game. but its not the only one.

Vindictus, TERA, WoW, Guild Wars2, are the best options in my opinion right now.
But at least tera is up there.

well it kind of is, but once you zoom out and just fight, it's not as apparent

Vindictus is a dead game, at least on US EAST it is.
and Guild Wars 2..? Don't even get me started.

Just in case you want to try out some thing different and don' mind going through hoops, you can try out Phantasy Star Online 2. The melee is harder than the range, which was unexpected for me. Usually, I find melee the easiest classes to play in any mmorpg. Beware, it's in japanese and western launch was delayed until some time later this year. It's also a sci-fi mmorpg. A lot of the mmorpg thrown in this thread are the more traditional fantasy type of mmorpg.

That's what I'm playing at the moment. There's little to do now that the huge 4.0 patch is coming out next month. Anything you grind for now will be wasted with the new gear and lvl cap increase coming. The game still isn't pay2win.

is tera pretty popular? very active in low levels?
I'd rather stick with a game with monthly subs. It ends up being a better experience in the end and never becomes pay to win. Constant updates and additional content.

So I'll be playing FFXIV ARR when it comes out if beta goes well smile.gif
