What "Chips"?

This is so incredibly confusing for me still...

It really self explanatory.

Work in retail
Make an account
Do quizzes to get chips
Earn enough chips to get out of "roadie"
Buy processor.

It took me maybe 2-3 hours to rack up the 10k chips needed to hit producer which is the lowest level you need to be able to purchase. The cost difference between producer and rockstar is 10$ but the chip difference is 30k chips (producer requires 10k rockstar requires 40k+)

Birthday route for me didn't work with wife, but selling a 7970 and 1 SSD to a co worker did..now I just have to hope they don't sell out of the 3930's by next week when wife gets her pay stub...*fingers crossed*

You and me both! I will definitely want to build a 3930K build!

Why are you selling your stuff for the Mobo as well correct?

I'm excited to save money for a x79 build with my 3930k.

Good luck Haunter !

In MY ACOUNT, there should be a chip counter there.

Hmm...Maybe because I made my account today, there seems to be no kind of Chip-Counter.

Initially I wasn't going to sell anything but that hinged on my wife falling for the ole puppy dog eyes "Can I have my birthday 7 months early" routine. That fell through lol, but then it just so happened a coworker is wanting to upgrade his rig and asked if I had parts for sell. Why yes I do sir...yes I do.

I'm looking at it like this..a 7970 can easily be replaced not to mention the 8k series is right around the corner...but a 3930k is NEVER on sale...besides...once it's in then I'll sell this Z68 board and my 2700k and BLAMMO recouped money :-) biggrin.gif
