How does this OC

Thread Starter
What kind of OC can i expect from a Asus P5W64 and a E6600 or E6400,i have a change of plans i was going to build a Dual Xeon but i only really needed it for the PCI-x slot..So i have a bit of change here..

Whats a good memory match for this baby,Im going with the Ballistix-667 on a different build(E6400-P5B-DX),what should i roll with on this baby, thanks

thanks

Your talking about the P5W64 WS Professional correct?

If so, then it should give you a good OC depending on the processor stepping, and cooling. An E6600 should hit 3.6 and a E6400 should hit 3.4. Of course this is a just a dirty estimate so take it as a grain of salt.

As for the memory choice, are you looking at 2GB or 1GB? What's your price range also?

Thats a Nice Motherboard. You will get a nice overclock based on the mother board however now it depends on the stepping and Quality of your RAM.

Uh. that motherboard isn't core 2 duo compatible, I would look at the Asus P5W DH board or some other core 2 duo compatible board.
