IIRC when they first started making the g400s they did have acceleration or prediction or angle snapping (one or a combo of those(vague I know)) in the early batches but they removed it per mass complaint. Which lead to the g400 becoming essentially the best mouse you could own.

Still not sure why I haven't got one. I had the mx518 and the g5 and loved both of them.

Currently using a DA 3.5g (sanded the gloss off of the sides) and a g600 for when I play WoW.
