Also less bullets and gas masks, but bullets do more damage (to enemies and Artyom) and monsters do more damage. It sounds like it would be harder than the normal difficulties, but it actually becomes somewhat more pleasant because you can drop mobs quickly, rather than having to waste an entire magazine for one kill.

But this video is leaving me a little disappointed in some areas (maybe this is since the new team picked it up?). The UI and some of the stuff has been simplified too much. Now rather then grabbing ammo from peoples corpses it just pops up with some graphic display of the item you're targeting and same with other stuff you target. Takes me outa the atmosphere. And worse yet are those horrible hit markers. I seriously hope there will be some way or at least a mod to disable them. I liked just seeing their body flinch/drop and do whatever to know when they're hit and dead. I want realism and not these simple/convenient things that take away from what metro is.

But aside from those things that are urking me it still looks good.

When I played 2033, most of the missions felt like chores instead of being elements that assisted in telling a compelling story. Let's hope the sequel doesn't succumb to the same issues. The UI oversimplification, among other dilutions, is a bit alarming. Though, they should have taken out hitmarkers if they really were aiming for realism.

I did not like the first one. Matter of fact. I did not even finish it. But, this one looks really cool and much better. Plus it came free with my gtx 660. Pre loaded through Steam and ready to roll.

Wow that looks good!! And that's the Xbox version, imagine what it's gonna look like on pc!

so incredibly excited for this game, played metro 2033 on release and loved it, still go back to it every now and again. the pre-order ordeal that is going on is a stupidly annoying. but that aside this should be an absolutely top notch game

Pre -ordered in December of 2012. Nuf said lol.
Can Physx be processed by CPU and not GPU like in Borderlands 2? I know that Metro 2033 utilized CPU Physx, but not sure about Last Light.

Ranger Mode being a preorder exclusive or costing an additional $5 after game releases = loooool, no thanks, I'll wait for a Steam sale.

Not going to feed the pathetic business practices that are creeping into every single franchise.
