TridentX 2400 cl9 F3-2400C9D-8GTXD won't boot at 2400MHz

Hi everybody, I've received today the new ram kit (2x4GB) that I ordered last week to upgrade my sig Tactical Tracer 1866 c9 which weren't 100% stable at 2133 and I wanted to get some serious ram for my system.
If I only could make them work at any of the two XMP profiles (1 or 2) mad.gif

The cpu is stable rs at 4.6Ghz as you can see here:

http://www.overclock.net/t/1285652/official-z77x-up5-up4-d3h-th-owners-club-discussion-and-info-thread/710#post_19808575

And even with my Tracers at 2133 cl 9.11.10.27 CR2T @1.6v:

http://www.overclock.net/t/1285652/official-z77x-up5-up4-d3h-th-owners-club-discussion-and-info-thread/720#post_19819938

Now I'm really disappointed of my new Tridentx, I hoped they were better but it seems they aren't, strange

I tested with the latest beta bios, F13a, than I went to the latest beta from the Gigabyte site, F12e and returned to the F13a, tried everything, even set manually the ram at 2400 cl 9-11-11-31 @1.65v and vtt at 1.2v, nothing to do
Most of the times it makes the bios run in boot loop, or the windows won't boot

Would my 3770k imc be so crappy, not supporting the 2400 freq?
Any suggestion would be really appreciated rolleyes.gif

Gonna try to switch the sticks and try again

Me thinks crappy IMC on your 3770k like you've suggested.

2133MHz is still pretty good though.

What timings and volt. would you recommend me to try the Tridentx at 2133?

I'd try 9,10,10,27 1T with 1.6v @2133MHz or 8,10,10,27 1T with 1.65v @2133Mhz

Tried at stock cpu (default) with this settings (G Skill Ivy Bridge + Z77/Z75 @ DDR3 2400MHz Testing Procedure, CPU Voltage: 1.3V, VTT Voltage: 1.15V, VCCSA Voltage: 1.10V, DRAM Voltage: 1.75V.):

http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=11138

And the ram shows the correct timings @ 2400

Right now I'm trying at 4.6GHz with:

vcore 1.23
Llc turbo
vtt 1.15
imc 1.1
dram 1.65
XMP profile 1 (2400, 9-11-11-31)
with slew rate both 3

Seems working, try to stress with linx some smile.gif

Edit: Linx gives me crappy error:

What to do?

Keep your ram below 1.65v if you can. And use prime95 27.9 instead of LinX. Prime95 is the best stability checker. You can use HyperPI to test quick stability with your ram:

hyper_pi_0.99b.zip 419k .zip file

Use 32m for the setting.

Also check out this memory overclocking guide, it's pretty good:

Already tried and I'm OK with the hyper_pi 32m:

However the linx (latest) wouldn't complete non even a single run (and this is corresponding to the whea errors, same time), why?
With my old ram I was 20 runs stable and no whea errors mad.gif

Now I just don't know if to raise the vcore or / and the vtt & imc as well or to lower the last two and the ram volt too

Already stable, it was only a bit of vcore missing, next step I'm gonna lower some dram volt and imc and try again

However I see some whea id20 too
Should I increase the vcore some more?
I also would like to return to the offset mode by using dvid

Thanks for your tips anyway wink.gif
