Acer G43T-AM v. 2.0, LGA 775, Intel Motherboard and intel core 2 quad cpu Q8300

Hi guys,

Not familiar with this setup, its my mates computer. Having probs booting up. ( Intermittent) Screen froze when I got booted once and fan was quite. Heat prob? I have since reseated cpu, but now the fan runs at full blast, ha! But it does boot up all the time, fingers crossed redface.gif

Here is the bios temp -

But real temp shows 35 - 36

It may be the fan on the heat sink or the controller on the MB - not sure. Trouble is the heat sink is probably one of Packard bell setup.

Any ideas other than I have suggested?
