Have you tried OC'ing with this board? I don't have much experience with AsRock and am getting tired of waiting for the Asus deluxe board. I am wondering if the 6 phase power design of this board vs the 12+2 on this mythical ASUS board makes any difference.

I got the MSI Z87I, I didn't have any issues with the placement of anything. It's a good motherboard. Trying to figure out how to change the cpu multiplier, it seems locked to 'auto' and won't let me change it.

Well my MSI board only has 4 phase VRM and I am able to go up to 4.7GHz fine. The silicon lottery is more important than the board, unless you're a serious enthusiast.

Just my luck. Of course they release it 2 days after I go with the AsRock board. Oh well...The AsRock board is great...was able to get 4.6ghz at 1.225 volts. I just use a Y splitter for more fans

I kind of based mine off of one of the profiles they had in there. 4.5Ghz @ 1.225 volts. I left most of the other stuff on auto and only level 1 LLC. I do have adaptive mode on, which will ramp up the voltage for things like stress tests. I also have a full water cooling loop so it's going to depend heavily on how well you can keep the cpu cool. Youtube is also helpful.

Question:

Does the gigabyte GA-H87N-WIFI mini-PCI Express slot for the wifi can be used to put in an mSATA ssd?
The gigabyte website has the slot listed only as a mini pcie for the included wifi card so I would say that it probably isn't compatible with an msata ssd. There isn't much detail though so the compatibility really isn't too clear.
