Z87 Mini-ITX discussion - Page 4

I found a better look at the z87i-Deluxe:

Turns out it has 6 sata ports, two of which are on the side of the board where the should be! Also, check out that huge plastic bit off the end of the pci slot! It seems Asus has made an extension for the slot's latch.

Hmm... The USB 3.0 is still in a really stupid position though, and I can't say I'm digging that color. puke.gif

EVGA stinger
Sharp looking board but only 4 sata ports and not in a very convenient spot.

Couple more pictures I found.
CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 90

Just noticed that the PCI slot on the msi itx looks like it locks in like a ram slot.

Stinger could be good... if it's not el crapola like it's Z77 sibling. rolleyes.gif

That ASUS H87 is BANGER, and I'm loving the colors and spacing as well! Perfect by the looks alone, so maybe that will come out in the software too! Hopefully... biggrin.gif

Oh MSI... Your SATA and ATX 24-pin positioning makes me want to beat you senseless. Dumber than dumb is not smart, IMO. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

I hope to god they added wifi to the evga stinger, no wifi on the z77 model was the only thing that held me back from buying it.

Except for the AAAAAAATROCIOUS SATA and ATX 24-pin locations..... thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

I mean, the colorway is beautiful, but I can deal with crappy color for proper pinouts.

IF i upgrade, it will be either asrock or asus mitx. I hate the color on asus, but i hate the connector locations on asrock.

I've also decided I'm holding off on Haswell for now.

I want to know if there's a chance that Intel will put IB-E into an mITX form factor; slim, I know, but it would be interesting!

Thanks - T
