ASUS VS208NR

Thread Starter
Hello everyone,
I just have bought Asus VS208NR 20" monitor. Can't say I'm very satisfied and happy with it) (even considering that before I had good ol' 17" Samsung 740N which was perfect except for being 5x4 aspect ratio screen and before it broke down) biggrin.gif

Sooo my question is whether I can or can't run this Asus monitor at 75hz if it allows me to run only at 60hz?
And is it OK if I notice slight ghosting, while it is 5ms monitor?

You can try overclocking it to 75Hz, but the chances are small.

That's perfectly normal.

Anyone know how to configure this monitor? The levels seem off, dark areas appearing blue and illuminated instead of more warm and actually 'dark'.
The Monitor controls are funky, seemed locked.

Here's an example. I remember that this "place" is supposed to be dark, you even can see that the gun is shadowed completely, but the whole thing is illuminated (brightened) and blue tinted, you can see the details etc.

After thoroughly searching for any info, I finally found some clues.

http://wecravegamestoo.com/forums/monitor-reviews-discussion/9014-asus-vg236h-120hz-3d-monitor-review.html

At the bottom someone commented:
"My asus seems to have pretty bad gradient banding which leads to blocky colours in dark places when playing games. I had it replaced by amazon but this monitor does the same thing."

That exactly sounds like my issue.
