I checked both amazon and newegg, they were both selling the 212 evo for 29.99, but i went with new egg because I needed a 50ft ethernet cable and newegg had a cheaper one.

Just wondering... Has anyone tried the Cooler Master Hyper N520? It's got a bigger heatsink, two fans, and a mirrored copper base, as opposed to the rougher base of the 212 evo. It's not much more, but it looks like it might be a bit better, not that i plan on purchasing it, just curious.
It has a colder, meaner look than the evo...

I had tried it awhile back. Believe the 212+ is better by 5c. The 520 if i remember right uses 92mm fans with about half of the cfm and static pressure the 212+ has. It didn't cool my 2500k very well. At least for me it didn't. ( my 212+ did better) Just my 2cents.gif

Edit: Also you can't control the fans rpm ( it runs at 1 speed all the time)

A new heatsink, Cooler Master Hyper 212X (successor of Hyper 212 EVO) was best choice when budget is matter (slight expensive than 212 EVO), It has better fan, innovative design to make it more efficient on cooling. But it may not available in U.S until it was released in U.S (in my country was on sale).

Hyper 212X on official Cooler Master website:

My 212 evo came today and I must say I'm amazed. It's so quiet I can hear my HDDs spinning, something I would no way in hell hear with my stock heatsink
