its a good idea fx 6300 and 7970 crossfire x for 1080p 60 hz gaming ? because im boring, of my i7 3820, and i need someting cheap and powerfull ? my target fps are solid 60 fps in any game

What games are you playing?

If it's multi-threaded well like Crysis 3 then FX-6300 would be the best bet. You need to clock it to 4.7Ghz to be roughly equal to a i3-3240 @3.4GHz though

Of the CPUs listed FX-4350, avoid all fx-41xx bulldozer.

If it's a $700 build I don't see why you couldn't go with a FX-8320

nice suggestion but no need to over clock a 6300 would blow any i3 away in anything except old ass single thread crap

I love how certain games became "crap" instantly in fanboys' eyes once it became clear that AMD's Bulldozer/Piledriver architectures had vastly-inferior IPC...

Gotta keep that cognitive dissonance at bay somehow, I guess...
