Agreed.
He definately nailed it when he said that you should drop one of the the vid cards and use the money to get a good PSU.
The PSU is providing massive amounts of power to all of your thousands of dollars worth of goodies. Building a rig with dual 8800GTXs and skimping on the PSU is like building a really nice car, running out of money and putting a ****ty engine in it.
I think it would be more analogous to the race car with a 1000HP engine and a transmission for a Honda Civic

Not exactly the most trustworthy source

Plus, he didn't exactly squeeze a whole lot out of that Kentsfield... And I am pretty sure he was teetering on the edge of that PSU.
