how to setup 2 3TB WD Green EZRX

Thread Starter
so i got 2 new-ish WD green (removed from Mybook)
they were rarely used, below is a screen-shot from the smart stats of the one with longer "powe on count"

now i did the "wdidle3" 300s fix when i saw the load/unload number
it's 10 times the number on my old 500gb boot drive!!

is this normal for a desktop drive?
i will be using them as a storage drives, or as some sort of archive drive.
there will be mostly videos and images that of significance and i don't want to lose them, but i can deal with accidents (i have another backup back at my parents house)
i will not access them often, once a week for a few hours or so

tl:dr to the points biggrin.gif

1) how to set them (raid/normal/offline). storage drive
2) what format should i use? (MBR/GPT)
3) if they are connected 24/7 but without real access should i reset "wdidle3.exe" to 8?
4) what are the maximum temps i should see? because they reached 45C before

whatever your system gets your drive up to lol. you dont want to go over 55C normally. ~38-40 is the sweet spot.

i turn off the case fans when im not gaming, so the airflow on the HDD kinda suck when i do that.
was just checking to see if i can stay at high temps because i hate the noise

i cant find the rep button!
