How do I O.C. My ram? (yesh I'm that lame)

Thread Starter
Aighty all, I've got some 2x 512 MB kingston Hyper-X pc-5400 that I'm trying to overclock in an Asus P5WD2-Premium Motherboard. It sets the timings default to in the BIOS to 5-5-5-12 for some strange reason. I tried to set one of the 5's to a 4 timing(i'm overly cautious), and on the next reboot it say Error: Overclocking failed or overvoltage(to that extent). Now I've haerd of people getin' like 2's with this ram so *** am i doing wrong here Any help would be aprreiciated

Erm, 2's? You mean CL2? CL2 is for DDR. Not DDR2. DDR2 can't do much lower than 3-3-3-8 IIRC.

Bump volts up a bit.
2 OP pls nerf

If I were you, stick your RAM on a divider as soon as you reach its guaranteed speed and forget about it
