Well if thats the case than im impressed for all i know this cooler is no better than a stock one

I kinda feel bad that i waited 6 months for this, i really wanted to upgrade from my e8400 but why should i pay such a premium price, basically for an IVY but with HD 4600 ? mad.gif even if this will hit 5 ghz i still don`t see it`s worth.

This will mean that Broadwell will suck too ? i mean a die shrink can bring a big performance boost or for that we need to wait for skylake? rolleyes.gif

I was with Intel all my life but this needs to stop

Just stop expecting amazing things coming from intel because the days of 20% are over.

It ran @4.5GHz with 1.13v on air (90 degree centigrade) and they were able to validate it @5.1GHz with 1.4v but then Prime gave them a blue screen. The problem was that they couldn't set/select the correct voltage in the UEFI BIOS:

"Pressurized to 1.4V CPU over to 5.1GHz high frequency, because we did not get the test Z87 motherboard overclocking software, the only settings from the BIOS overclocking frequency."

Note: I e-mailed kingpin 12 days ago that my i7-4770K did 5.2 GHz with little over 1 volt, but it got hot rather quickly. So guess what wink.gif

Not important since its not stable at those clocks and voltage...

I'm not Chinese but yes that is basically what I make of it. As in they were forced to set it to 1.4v
