Well you will be disappointed then. My mouse is the same way. I didn't care enough to remove the side buttons, then place them back in to see if they line up, it could be that simple or just bad molding. I would not be surprised if it is a bad mold considering their EC mice and early AM.

Yup! The exact same as mine. The left side isn't like that.

I could say with 99% certainty that it is a bad mold (again) from the manufacture.
