looking for OC suggestions for my new machine

Thread Starter
Mobo: MSI 990FXA-GD65
CPU:FX 6100WMGUSBX Hex Core Black Edition
RAM: 2x4GB Apacer DDR3-1600; 1x8GB Apacer DDR3-1600 Black Panther
ATI Radeon HD5750 1GB DDR5 Graphics Card
Gigabyte Odin 585W PSU
Standard Cooling for CPU, RAM, GPU. 2 rear chassis 40mm fans, 0 front chassis fans

I have set OC Genie to Enable and are getting:
Core Speed: 3712.5 MHz
CPU Voltage: 1.3005 V
CPU NB (V): 1.2545 V
NB Voltage: 1.2907 V
DRAM Voltage: 1.6517 V
Ratio: 16.5
Base Clock: 225.0MHz
CPU TDP:94w
RAM: DDR3-1600(800MHZ)

CPU Temp:34 Degrees Celcius; 93 Fahrenheit
Mobo Temp: Unknown

Anyone have a set of specs to raise performance on standard cooling that is stable. AMD CC.jpg 611k .jpg file

My advice - just overclock the GPU, it's currently way behind the CPU in performance (if you use the pc for gaming).
In games, you won't notice any performance gain from OCing the CPU, but you will notice big performance gains from OCing the GPU.

Also, you've posted in the wrong section of the forum, but that's fine smile.gif

On the stock heat sink, youre not going to get much higher than 4.0 if that far. Those Bulldozers put out a lot of heat and while the stock AMD heatsinks are pretty good, theyre not going to be enough to handle any serious overclocking. Id notch the multiplier up to 4.0 and see what that does. Use OCCT to stress test it and keep an eye on your temps. 62C is the max safe core temp for those chips.
