Matrix nonp 1050 - 1500 if I remember correctly. May be better for you, if your card can't go over 1100 try lower one smile.gif

But your card you said 1125, you can flash Matrix.rom.

I used that bios with Crossfire, there was no problem.

My bios position was Dual DVI (2560 x 1440)

The matrix and matrix non-platinum bios were a no go.

I can flash each of the bios for the matrix, both Platinum and non-Platinum, but I get errors. The system boots, but GPU-Z cannot recognize the card correctly, and I can't install drivers.

When I try the 2.2.14 ASUS GPU Tweak with my factory bios (and DC2 non-Top), I can adjust voltage, but can't raise the clock speeds passed the hard set ones in the bios (1125/6025).

It looks like there might be two revisions of the DC2 series; those using the 5.12 bios revision, and those using the 5.23 bios. My card will work with both versions of the Top series, but none of the Matrix. I have a feeling that ASUS is using similar PCB for newer DC2 series that is compatible with the Matrix bios.

FYI, my bios were never locked. I never had to unlock them prior to flashing.

You can't pass 1125 mhz? Did you touch this button

I'm thinking about; different PCB's or something like firmware !?

Because I saw a firmware update for Matrix (at own page)

Not bios update, it was firmware update.

I mean this

https://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/MATRIXHD7970P3GD5/#support_Download_30

Bioses can't work with different firmwares!? I don't know these cards has firmware, but looks matrix has.

I don't have that lock/unlock option to sync and unsync the core speed and voltage. And with the slider all the way to the right, my max core clock is 1125. I just wish I could get the Matrix bios to flash across correctly.

It looks like this project is a dead end for me.

@ericeod Did you make these settigns;

Go to settings - Display Priorty And Tuning

than choose like this - but in normally you can't see this option (overclocking range enhancment)

to see it make it advanced mode like in picture

than click Overclocking range enhancement button and apply. If you do everyting correct, you must see like this.

Thanks for the info. It looks like I am able to run the 2.1.4 version with my stock DC2T bios. I don't have the VDDCI voltage control, just the core voltage:

Hello!

I'm here too, I'm the guy from asus rog forum smile.gif

This is very interesting, my card is just like yours ericeod, works with gpu tweak 2.2.1.4 fully unlocked with the rom it came with. If i flash matrix bios I get the same issues that you get. My card is not old at all, got it like two moths ago, have no idea how old it actually is but me and Dj_oxy have the same part nr. printed on the box.

I wonder if the difference is on hardware level or if it is only in the software. Hmm..

Anyways, my card clocks prerry well. Passes 3dmark11 @1260Mhz. For gaming it's rock stable at 1200Mhz, playing BF3 for hours. I think a fullcover waterblock would go wonders for this card. It does get quite alot hotter in the VRM area compared to my Matrix.

Besides the DC2T card I actually have two "real" matrix platinums also, just recently got a hold of the second matrix card so I will probably get rid of the DC2T, maybe we'll see smile.gif

VDDCI is the same thing as PLL, I have that on the matrix cards but dont get it on my DC2T like you do(HW difference?) Also I dont get MEM voltage adjustment on the DC2T you do right Dj_oxy?

Hi twisted1 smile.gif

I have mem voltage both DCU II - DCU II TOP and matrix bios. And also I can see VDDCI with both bioses. I really don't know how to set, it always at 875 (must touch?) So what is PLL !?

And interesting thing: as you see my pictures from GPU Tweak and skin is black. I did back to Matrix bios and looks red smile.gif

I had 2 cards and did sell one. But they all 2 months. Both of them has the same bios. I really don't know why yours is different, may be we live in different countries, who knows.
