I'm getting the same error others are reporting with the bios editor. I'll see if i can get this figured out.

I did set to 1260 V with editor. I know my limit 1180Mhz - 1190Mhz with games.

So my lowest voltage is 1190 now smile.gif I think this is enough for me

AB, Trixx can't adjust. GPU tweak latest version is ok smile.gif

matrix bios couldn't be edit..

I figured out a workaround for the error. It had to do with defining the path of the bios file. Once I dropped the file to be modded onto the c: drive (not in any folders), I was able to mod the bios without an issue. I havent actually tried to make any changes yet, I was just able to load the bios and patch it successfully.

edit: I am only able to select the power limit. If I enter ASIC and select confirm, I get an error.

Matrix bios can't be edit, said some warning about power target. May be your problem is the same too. May it be bios version!?

Let me test 15.12 bios.

edit : I did open 7970 Top 15.12 bios, no warning. patched. (1.260V)

I can upload for you smile.gif

Thank you!

Here is the error I am getting. Could it be the version of Windows I am running? I upgraded all my PCs to Win 8 Pro...

I load the bios, select 7900 and click on the + to read ASIC table. I then enter ASIC of 76.4% as shown in table, select confirm , and get the above e

DJ_OXyGeNe_8, the bios worked, thanks. I am able to set voltage up to 1.256v. Until I figure out this error, would you please edit the max core anf mem to 1250/7000.

Some interesting bios testing. I was able to flash the 15.023 bios from TPU (the latest available for the DC2T) to my card, and have full clock control for core and mem, just not voltage. here is the bios and the latest GPU Tweak ver 2.3.9.2:

DJ_OXyGeNe_8,

Can you please do the same voltage bios adjustment to the attached 15.023 bios, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks for the help on this. The voltage is working as it should now:

Nice, this is the final solution for all bioses I think smile.gif

Default voltage is higher than stock bios, and highest voltage is higher than matrix bios smile.gif

I can edit for 1.3V, 1.4V but not necessary I think. Becuase it's hard to go over 1220Mhz...

It's safe and enough for everyone. It also works with every GPU Tweak versions thumb.gif

Thanks to twisted1

Good choice to sort of limit the voltage a bit for regular users. Some will just max the voltage and start OC from there, and well you know..

Did you set powertarget to +50 also? That wont get you higher max clocks but it will allow you to overclock both mem and gpu to the max. You've probably noticed that you can go higher on mem if you don't OC gpu. Settting powerlimit higher will allow to OC mem and gpu to absolute max smile.gif

I'm also having the same issue with my matrix cards and the powertarget editing, if anyone figures out how to get it working with matrix bios feel free to let me know smile.gif

I think this bios tool is going to evolve to something good, these tools always seem to appear when the competition is getting the upperhand in performance. Like that bios edit that gave just alittle more voltage on the 680's. Suddenly appeared when the amd drivers where improving alot and leaving the 680's in the dust. hehe smile.gif

Thank you Dj_Oxy, and ericeod, and everyone else providing feedback. If you encounter locked voltages on other cards feel free to contact me, I might have some info on it, you never know wink.gif
