I have both DC2 and DC2T. I'm going to try flashing the DC2T bios to the DC2. Just wondering, I'm going to be running the cards in crossfire. Does that affect anything?

I will post my results to add info to this thread. I'm waiting on fittings for my loop to it might be a week before I'm up and running.

Crashes when windows starts, like me that tried 15.12 bios.

I said turn off PC, unplug power cables etc... Wait 5 min than try again. Let me see what happens smile.gif

So: Don't Touch BURN button!!!

I'm on DCU II bios now: I did play Crysis 3 Highest Settings - 1920 x 1080

1200Mhz-1.3V / 6000Mhz .1.600V

No crashes, no artifacts... Everything was fine.

My suggestion for who has DCU II TOP with 15.23... bios, DCU II bios will be better.

Full Unlocked voltage, More stable, better temperature..

The burn button is for permanently setting a clock of your choice as the stock clock for the card, that clock setting will then be default for the card until you burn another setting. Works on my matrix cards, have not tried it on DC2T because gpu tweak 2.2.1.4 doesn't have a burn button.

For the memory, if 1.600V is what the mem is getting, 1,6 is pretty high. It's the stock voltage on Matrix card but they run mem @6600Mhz. Can easily up the mem on my matrix cards too 7200Mhz still on 1,6V. Stock voltage for DC2T mem is 1,5V mem @5600Mhz.

I've been F@H every day with my machine since April 13th for the Chimp Challenge (with the exception of a some trial and error runs with this card's bios a few hours each day for a week). My card ran solid at 1125/1575 until yesterday. I've since OCed the card to 1200/1600 and have run F@H for 24Hrs.

NO, stock for DC2T 5600Mhz and 1.600V smile.gif

Also my card work 6600 with 1.625V - but I think changes for every card. I can go 7000Mhz with 1.650V - But 6600 is enough for me smile.gif

@ ericeod do you remember your cards Mem voltage? Yours is 1.6 or 1.5?

@Mms60r before bios update - can you uploadf both cards GPU-Z infos?

And can you test gpu tweak 2.2.1.4 with you DCU II?
@ericeod as you see there is an option for Mem voltage? Can't you see it with your card ?

Based on this review, it is default of 1.6v: http://en.gecid.com/video/review_and_testing_of_asus_radeon_hd_7970_directcu_ii_top/

I just noticed that with vdroop, my vcore is 1.193v. Is that a lot of vdroop for this card? I have it set to 1.238v in GPU Tweak:

I have that weird bios that doesn't give me access to some voltages, both in OC settings and in reading voltages. And it looks lik ethe vcore goes up to 1.205v from 1.193v as it fluctuates:

And from experiences what I understand;

Old DCU II and DCU II top with 015.012.00... bios can be unlocked with GPU Tweak 2.2.1.4

New DCU II Top with 015.023.000.. bios can't be unlocked. But with the same bios number DCU II (non top) can be unlocked. With DCU II bios, DCU II Top can be unlocked.

DCU II Top with new bios can turn Matrix, but 1.256V limited.

And for last messages: I can see voltage, you can't for memory. So something different. I think after Matrix released, they changed DCU II Top too. I really don't know just bios or hardware changed.

@ ericeod for 1200Mhz, 1.238V enough for you? Did you try higher 1240-1250Mhz?

And if works 1200Mhz with 1.238V, good voltage smile.gif

Mine wants 1.275V - 1300V

For now, I'm good with 1200MHz. I've been folding on my main system for the past month. So I am keeping it there for the time being. I'll try for higher clocks in a few weeks. Thanks again for your direction/advice, and sharing your experience.
