is their such a page where it shows new news for the 700 series or the 8000 series? when do you guys think each one will come out? im trying to hold out on my first build for the 8000 series or 700 series but it's hard =). also i have read that the 780 will be around the same price as the titan. is it true?

with the hardware that's out now i don't see the point in waiting. i would buy now and game on.

first build huh? remember to ground yourself (metal faucet). ESD can kill your components.
or worse yet give you intermittent problems. also get a UPS and don't skimp on the PSU.

also what do you think about the articles i posted? do you think the 780 will be priced around the titan?

If you go to the Industry News forum there is a sub - forum for Rumors and Unconfirmed News, there are a couple of 7xx and 8xxx threads there. But the 780 is supposed to be released on May 23 and be somewhere between $500 and $1000 (no one knows yet). The 8xxx series probably isn't coming until late this year.

sorry forgot the link... UPS

to be honest i didn't check the links. cards that are out now rock so why wait?
SLI causes issues in games, is twice the cost, twice the power draw, twice the heat, for what? 30% increase?
i vote a single card. but that's just my opinion.

2-WAY SLI can offer up to 90% scaling at times, and it doesn't cause issues. fermi+ ( 500 series and up ) cards have little to know stuttering due to the built in frame metering logic

i guess il have to go based on when the 780 comes out. do you think 2 680's will hold for a couple years? like 2-4?

id like to play with everything on high. like some games 1 card wont be enough for that. like metro last light. I would like to play a variety of game son ultra:dayz/arma2/crysis 3/metro last light/ and so on

save a bunch of cash and get a couple of EVGA 670 FTW if your going SLI. they are a factory overclocked 670 GPU on a 680 PCB that is within a few % of the performance of a 680. the 670 FTW gives you almost as much bang for a lot less buck. the warm fuzzy feeling of the 680 is worth the extra cash for some. rolleyes.gif personally i feel the money can be better spent elsewhere.
