Help Setting up Web Server (Will Pay)

Hello All,

I am setting up a webserver I have. Since this is an overclocking forum and there is hardware interest, It is a dual Xeon hecta core server with SAS drives in RAID5 and quad gigabit controller.

I am looking for someone with experience setting up PHP front and SQL back end on a Windows Server 2012 machine.

It took me nearly all day but, I finally have my IIS-8 site live via external IP. HERE

I need help setting up my FTP to it as well as get a webpage set up and deployed with the proper front (Simplecoin 5) and back end (PushPool with Stratum Proxy). If you are wondering why the specifics, I am trying to set up a mining pool for crypto currency.

Please let me know (Via PM) if you have the knowledge to set this up/ some examples of coding and work. Or, post in the thread if you would like more info with questions you may have.

Thanks!

1) Use linux!

2) Theres plenty o free advice on the web wink.gif!

You would just intall the IIS PHP extension (use Apache its much simpler) with Myswl + PDO(mysql) and its done

as for simplecoin

nstallation:
1. Extract files into web root directory
2. Create simplecoin database in you mysql instance
3. Run simplecoin.sql in your simplecoin database (This will be used for pushpool & simplcoin)
4. Edit includes/requiredFunctions.php and set the bitcoin & database login info
5. Edit all files in the cronjob folder, set $includesDirectory to the correct server path.
6. setp cronjobs on a staggered schedule. I recommend 10-30 minutes for most. I run payout twice daily."

The readme has a in depth tutorial

Are you struggling with something?

I originally had Linux on the box via CentOS 6.3 but I didnt know enough of the commands by heart to make it worth my time. If you feel you can do this and get it set up properly, send me a PM with samples of previous work. As it is, I am crunched for time from my partner who wants to get this set up as well but, I have my day job which eats almost 70 hours a week.

As far as extensions on my server, Apache, SQL, FileZilla Server and MyPHP/MyPHPAdmin are all installed (Although port forwarding on my modem/router (actiontec c1000a) is a pain and keeps reverting back).

I just need someone to do the final setup/integration and throw it on a cookie cutter webpage much like www.wemineltc.com thumb.gif

http://www.howtoforge.com/quick-n-easy-lamp-server-centos-rhel < Linux install its a follow and be done guide ;D, using linus will also give you access to SSH, which in turn gives you secure file transer though SCP. SCP >>>>>>> FTP! Its encypted and is all over one port not two (so you dont have to get your head arround active / passive ftp + config)

If you have PHPmyAdmin make god sure that no one else but you can get to it, else you probley will end up with a compromised server.

All the "final" setup should be easy, just run the SQL script to get simple set up smile.gif. Open Mysql in a terminal and copy n paste, As for the webpage just copy the source + css tongue.gif (arr pirate xD, or be above baord and use basic templates (google) ), unless its that you dont know html biggrin.gif? . One thing to note about bitcoin mining though is you will get people trying to DDoS you just for the lols, so be carefull if its on a home connection

Thanks for all of that, I will rep you.

Im just not sure I want to switch back to Linux. As far as DDOS, I am not that concerned as my connection would need a Botnet to take it down. If you want the work, please let me know. I think id rather pay someone to set it up correctly instead of take time off work to dink around with it.

Bump. Anyone want to be a Dev for me?

If you still want someone to set up Linux, it shouldn't take long for me to load Apache, mysql, and some secure configs to reduce the chances of getting hacked. I'm not touching Windows though - I'd rather cut off my right testicle than go back to administrating a Windows web server.
