Why didn't anyone tell me about (insert program here). - Page 13

NINITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I'm not the first person to say it but I keep a file on a usb drive and on the computers I usually have to keep going.
NO BLOATWARE EITHER. I downloaded something manually and got some bloatware junk. I almost cried.
Whenever something (usually adobe) bugs me to update I just run it and, boom everythings up to date. Well before I got flash completely off the boot with...

CCCLEANER

It's Free. It works. Well. Helps keep junk like the itunes updater from popping up.

Yumi,

So epic, your mind will be beyond blown...

I've had ultiboot cd, hiren's, and much more (a few linux distro's, etc). And it's epic for testing. Especially @ a clients, claiming the sound doesn't work... walk in linux... magically it works on youtube... Walk in prime95, and memtest86+, and magically all pushes through stock cooling and doesn't die... proven customer needs a re image from their IT staff...

Yumi, when you make a bootable, just get a "same sized" jpg, and quality sets, etc.. or png whichever it is... and match the file name, and magically... your own "branded" picture to boot. literally. Change colours of borders on the files, and just have fun!

This program is awesome.

I have a 16GB USB 3.0 drive with:
- Ultimate Boot CD v3.5.6
- Hirens Boot CD v15.2

- System Rescue CD v3.7.1

- Avira Rescue CD (08/01/13)

- Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (32-bit)
- Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (64-bit)

- Windows XP Professional SP3 (32-bit)

- DSL 4.4.10

- DSL 4.11 RC2

- Tails v0.20

- Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon (32-bit)

- Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon (64-bit)

- Linux Mint 15 XFCE (32-bit)

- Linux Mint 15 XFCE (64-bit)

- Ophcrack Vista Live CD

- Ophcrack XP Live CD

I can do pretty much anything short of installing Windows 8/8 Pro or Windows 7 Home Premium (or other Linux distros). I might transfer all of this to my 32GB drive so I can fit those.

Snadboy's Revelation v2 ( password recovery program)...
so you totally forgot what your password was and all you see is *********? Or you want to know someones password in thier email program for example.
Well with this program it will reveal it very easily. It's a bit limited, but it works where it can.
Program has been around forever, and you would think that windows 7 would prevent this program from working all together. It still works.

I think most people know about it but I'm gonna throw it out there anyway. Plex. Organizes all your locally stored movies and streams them via plex apps (for android, iOS, smart TVs, Roku, blah blah blah) to all your devices. Format free, headache free. Mostly.

The basic "media server" and "media center" applications are free. The iOS and Android apps cost a couple bucks. You can also get PlexPass which is like a premium subscription. A couple extra features, anda ccess to early releases.

I'm enjoying the thread I think I've actually used everything recommended on here before I read this thread but its always nice to be reminded about some of them

my contribution (very similar to pendrive linux) is unetbootin, a program thats been aroudn a long time but still really useful
http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

oh and I dont remember if anyone has mentioned Notepad++ http://notepad-plus-plus.org/
an amazing source code editor I came across about 2 years ago makes coding soo much nicer
