Interesting, the link was up when I posted it. I tested it to make sure. The server must be down. It should be back up soon.

Snap seed is letting Google + users upload raw pictures. Cool stuff. I just started using their app after I heard about it.

I may look into a thread like this for apps. What say?

Why didn't anyone tell me about:
  • Raditaz -- Like Pandora or Last.fm without the pesky ads. Sadly, I believe it is only available in the US (maybe Canada?).
  • Rufus -- Another ISO to USB program. This one was faster than some of the others I have used. Sadly, it doesn't seem to work with the full release of Windows 8.1.
  • VLC -- Great, Open-source, and Free music player. You can play anything from FLAC, MP3, AMV, and Internet radio files.
  • WiFi Mouse -- Control your mouse from across the room using your Android or iOS devices.
  • OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) -- For those who want to get started streaming, but don't want to fork over the cash needed for programs such as xSplit or Wirecast. Free and Open-source. From my experience the software is lighter-weight than xSplit and all around runs better. Did I mention it will be free forever?
  • Paint Tool SAI -- For those who enjoy drawing, sketching, or coloring with their Pen and Tablets (such as Wacom Bamboo or Intuos). Free and still runs in Windows 8 without issues.
  • 7zip -- ZIP, RAR, TAR, etc. Whatever archive you need to open, 7-zip is free and, you guessed it, open-source.
  • Waterfox -- A 64-bit compiled browser based around Mozilla Firefox's open source code. Link brings you to the sourceforge site. However, this link brings you to the OCN forum thread, where Waterfox 24 Preview 1 is available, as well as updates from the developer.
I hope you enjoy these programs/sites as much as I have.
Cheers, cheers.gif

On the same note, Filebot is a java based file renamer. You drop full folders of a single tv show on there and match it up to one of the available databases and it will automatically suggest names for each file, which can all be processed by one click.

Works great in combination with media companion/xbmc thumb.gif

Have a mac? I don't but my uncle does! He is a heavy video editing and audio editing enthusiast. His only problem is that when he bought his second monitor (Samsung Syncmaster XXXX) it would not dim the display when he pressed the shortcut key on his keyboard, it would only dim the dedicated mac screen. This applications does just what the name intends, it Shades both monitors allowing him to work more effectively. The program has a different range of "darkness." It will allow you to fine tune your brightness.
