Asus RMA... Question about new video card ASUS HD7970-DC2-3GD5

Alright, so I sent the video card below for an RMA. It had a broken shroud so I was not sure if they would accept it.
I sent this after the 30 days of the RMA time requirement (Busy month) I sent it last last Saturday (27) , and a new RMA replacement was shipped on 5-7. This was the package that arrived.

Packaging that doesnt help...

Box inside the package. The RMA information is wrong. I think they just grabbed a random box to put the card in...

Inside are two sets of bubble wrap. Inside is the card, but as you can see it has no protection from the sides or the bottom.

Anti-static bag

Card itself.

I noticed that the card was rattling. Shook it a bit and a screw came out.

Found the missing screw point. Screwed it back on and tightened all the other screws. The ones on the side were sorta tight, but the ones in the back were loose. Took around 1-2 full turns to completely tighten them.

Little scratch on the Asus Logo

Residue that comes off but still took a picture of it.

Noticeable scratch.

What looks like lint on one capacitator.

Other than that the card looks good. The heatsink looks new. There is no dust on it. No signs of use. There are some dents, but those could be from the manufacturing process. The backplate looks used. The shroud also looks used. The connection port metal thing is dirty, as if someone ran dirty/greasy fingers through it.

So, I still have not hooked up the card. My power supply has one 6+2 pin and one 6 pin. I am not sure if I would be able to run the card like this. I need an answer as soon as possible before I am tempted to hook it up. I will be able to get an 8 pin soon, but not soon enough. PLEASE HELP

You should wait for 8 pin converter. They sent you a box with gtx 560ti? Just make sure you check the serial # for warranty status.
I think you got lucky that they sent you a replacement even though shroud was damaged. Just put the screws back and you should be good. Asus is huge GPU manufacturer so they have tons of refurb units for replacement. They rarely send you a brand new because of so many availability.
