I'd go with:

P9x79 Pro
3930k
8x4GB (The white vengeance LPs are nice, but any 1600 CL9 will work)
590
128GB ssd
2x1tb wd blacks in raid 0
Phantom, C70, or 800D if you have the cash

That should handle anything you throw at it - and probably leave you with a bit of cash.

Whoops! My B. Call the constable, I guess.

Anyway, OP:

RIVF is a good board. I'd go with it.

Don't know too much about the trooper, however I have a bias against CM. If you like it, and it has all the features then go hog wild I guess. A case is a case imho, and as long as the build quality and aesthetics are there - that's all that matters.

Don't go with the RIVF, you will be limited to 4 DIMM slots, and I assume you'll need as much RAM space as possible since you will be editing, rendering, and using AutoCAD. A board that will be great is the Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4. It supports four way SLI/Crossfire and 8 DIMM slots in an ATX footprint, all for $239.99. For RAM, I suggest the DDR3-2400 16gb 2x8gb Team Xtreem LV kit at $139.99. I'm also assuming you already have some parts/peripherals such as OS, keyboard, mouse, etc.

Motherboard--http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128562

How about this?

After adding RAM to it, it comes down to about $1,138.97. If you want to get it under $1000, remove/downgrade some non important products (You can also downgrade/remove the RAM if you plan on upgrading in the future anyway and don't have the money right now). Don't downgrade that PSU though, if you plan to SLI Titans, $179.99 for a fully modular 1200w 80 PLUS Gold PSU is a great deal. I think a silver/black theme build is waiting to be built. With those shiny silver heatsinks on the motherboard's VRM, the silver trim on the Titans, and the silver design of the XFX power supply, this will be a sweet looking build.

3820 is still a very capable processor bro. 8 threads, 4 cores. Will handle nearly anything.

You dont need more then 750 watts for ANY dual card system

Unless we are talking about 690 or 7990 then its a quad card system
