Hi there I am a little new to overclocking not a total noob but my brother bought a new comp and i was trying to overclock it for him, but just upping the multiplier to something like 22x giving me 4200-4400 seems safe. and i had to adjust the vcore to something like 1.35, and turned off amd turbo but it still fluxuates up and down when stress testing. So what is downclocking it that it doesnt constantly run at the desired freq?

theer are half a dozen posts about the 6300 do a search 1.4375 V will do stable to abt 4.5 You need to diable some options like cool and quiet etc its much teh same for any vishera chip. I have my 6300 at 4.6 being stable so far today.

You need to disable APM, C1E, C6, and cool n quiet. That voltage should be fine for up to or around 4.5 Ghz. assuming you have adequate cooling.
