Does plugging in a Mechanical k/b into USB 2.0 significantly slower than USB 3.0?

quickfire.png 178k .png file I have just purchased a Coolermaster QuickFire Pro mech k/b:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823129003&Tpk=cm%20quickfire%20pro&IsVirtualParent=1

The only problem is that I have to use USB 2.0 or the keyboard doesn't recognize.

Even If I boot-up to windows, if it's NOT in USB 2.0 (only works surprisingly in ONE of my motherboard jacks too....) then it will not detect.

Is this slower than USB 3.0 even though on the website I noticed it says "USB 2.0 FULL SPEED"? What does this mean? thank you

Considering USB 1.1 would more than saturate any typing speed, I'm not sure why you're worried.

Even on USB 1.1 you wouldn't notice a difference, it's not like a keyboard use much bandwidth.

I don't care if I would "notice" or not though.

I am more obsessed with if I am FACTUAL getting a SLOWER Speed or not.

like, literally, if you were to quantitize the data; would I see slower #'s displayed as far as information being transmitted on the USB 2.0 versus the USB 3.0?

I really don't care if I notice or not, I 'm just obsessed with what is going on factual.

Also, being a competitive gamer, the idea that something is "slower", even if my pathetic human senses cannot detect it, still irks me nonetheless.

No, you wouldn't notice a difference and there would be NO difference.

You can justify stupidity if you like, it doesn't change the fact there's no difference.

Well, I"m intelligent to realize that 'you wouldn't NOTICE a difference" is completely different than "there is NO difference"

People don't really read peoples threads; I know I may or may not NOTICE the difference so-to-speak, but I clearly wrote that "noticing" it is trivial to me and I wanted some hard numbers as to what IS FACTUALLY faster etc...

but people kept replying with , "you will not notice anything" when I clearly wrote that is irrevelant and just wanted to know which transmits information faster and if there is some "cap" or limit on USB 2.0 speed that someone on a mechanical keyboard like me will never reach.

Bandwidth has no relevance to a keyboard. A keyboard literally uses thousands of times less bandwidth than USB 1, even if you're mashing your hands on the keyboard.

Polling rate and protocol limitations are all that matters. In this respect, all USB will be identical, and PS2 will be superior (lower latency by a few milliseconds).

There isn't a difference between USB 2 and 3 as far as keyboard performance goes. However, PS/2 would be faster and allow you full n key rollover (if your keyboard supports it.)

There is physically no difference.

USB 3.0 achieves faster transfer rates by increasing the size of data (number of packets) per cycle, but a keyboard will not saturate 2.0 or 3.0 either way. So the speed will be determined by the polling rate which is the same in 2.0 and 3.0. There have been some threads on overclocking the polling rate, but I don't think it is worth the effort. Do the google if you're interested.

Other than that, if your keyboard is PS/2 compatible, use that instead. PS/2 doesn't have a polling rate and simply sends an interrupt signal to your CPU. More importantly though, PS/2 has true NKRO as each key has it's own signal, meaning you can literally press all the keys on the keyboard at the same time and have them all register. USB keyboards are generally plagued by 5 KRO and ghosting issues.
