I own a GTX 660 Ti, an MSI Power Edition version (Overclocked a bit). I can say with confidence that you can play BF3 on ultra. However, you may get slight dips in FPS, like from 60 to 50, but it usually won't go below 45 FPS. This is all at 1080p.

I have to agree with others, change that cpu cooler. For around that money you can get a zalman CNP or noctua. Both are the best air coolers.I had an original H50. Great idle temps but the overclocking room was limited a bit.

If you want to take the advice everyone is saying on getting a better case but money is a little tight you can always find a cheaper HDD. You can always get a second one later on when you have more funds.

This would be a significantly better option for basically the same price:

660Ti should be able to hit 60fps as well - it's a definite 60fps if you disable MSAA and use SMAA/FXAA instead.

But mainly - I recommend you change your case. I had the experience of working with that Apevia X-Trooper recently - it's terrible! Unpainted insides, very archaic model, you have to snap off the PCI-slot covers, and removing the 5.5" drive covers is ridiculously difficult.

Also, I'd get an air cooler for better CPU cooling for the price. H50/60/70/80 probably aren't going to drop much on Black Friday.

This, i used a Phenom II 955BE and was noticing a little choppy frame rates with my 7970, bought a 3770K and no choppiness thumb.gif

EDIT: In regards to BF3, went up from around 50FPS on Ultra to 75 tongue.gif

Advising someone to change their case because of slightly inconvenient access or minor visual flaws is a pretty weak argument when the person on a budget.

And even with post on high and 4 in game AA it's still has jaggies. SMAA won't do anything and it will be a mess, not to mention actually effecting how well you do trying to pick enemies out of that twinkling mess.

If you can get a 7950 with 3 games and dump that voucher for ~70 bucks and use that extra money to get an i5, that would be the way to go.
