So right now I have a Bigfoot 1103 in my laptop and I am having connection issues but I am not sure if it is the card itself or my router so I am hoping one of you guys can shed some light on it.

Right now I will be downloading something and then out of the blue my connection just drops. It will sit around 0Mb/s and then every 15 seconds or so it will go up to 1 Mb/s and maybe every minute I will see 10-15Mb/s. Now it should be noted that most of the time I am able to access my 50Mb/s without this issue. I doubt it is my ISP as I am on cable but I guess anything is possible.

Another issue I am having is that on occasion I will boot up my pc and it just wont connect to the 5ghz band. When this happens I can connect to 2ghz or just restart and I usually get it back and able to use the 5ghz band.

I was looking at buying a Intel N-6300 since I have been having these problems but I just want to make sure that is the problem before I buy it.
