Help BSOD!

Thread Starter
I've been having a problem with my computer. Every time I log in, Windows will run for a few minutes and then BSOD. I've decided that I would just format and reinstall Windows to fix the BSOD but I may think its a hardware issue now. I have two storage drives. One is an OCZ agility 64gb SSD and my other is an old 250gb Seagate HDD.

Whenever I try to install windows 7 on either of these drives, the disc will load all the way to the screen where it asks which drive to install the partition on, but none of my drives appear. I then restart the computer and load into the bios. I then find that my bios doesn't recognize my drives either. It will only say "hard drive" in my boot sequence. Every where else it doesn't say anything. The only way for it to recognize my drives are to either load setup defaults or reset the sata cables.

I've tried replacing the sata cables, plugging them in different ports, booted each drive individually, and replaced the cmos battery. I also ran chkdsk on both drives and they both passed.
What's going on.

I'm going to try that, just waiting for my cousin to get home so I can use his desktop.

No, its not latest bios and I do have both on the same power cable. I guess I should change both of those.

Well I updated my bios and it now recognizes my seagate HDD. Which I have a new win 7 install running on it now, everything is smooth. However it still doesn't recognize my SSD. I haven't tried a different power cord yet for I am lazy and don't want to mess with my cable management. Maybe the SSD is faulty?

I've always had the SSD connected to sata port 1 and the HDD to sata port 2. While my dvd drive is randomly on stat port 5.
