Do you know the saying "Beggars can't be choosers"? An element of that applies here; what is given is at the discretion of the giver. They're donating money, not making a transaction. Funny thing is if they had never donated to charity you probably wouldn't even know to criticize them for anything.

this is true, you cant really criticize them for not donating ENOUGH money. However, lately Blizzard has been slipping. Diablo three was just a god awful game that didn't even come close to living up to its namesake. Not to mention, Blizzard made MILLIONS off of the RMAH from items that they just wrote into existence...

I mean, this is awesome and i'm glad that Blizzard has given something back to the community; But they still have a long way to go until they are redeemed. At least in my eyes.

What did they do that need redeeming? Making pools of cash? Blizzard has been a pretty decent company over the years, making money is not something they should be chastised for.

Blizzard was a decent company. I'm glad that the are donating amount that are "illegitimate" but it still doesn't erase the fact that they are a shadow of their former selves.

A donation is a donation. I'm sure they've donated a far larger percentage of their paycheck than the people complaining in this thread that they aren't giving enough. I also recall them raising over 2 million for Sandy, some 1 million for Make A Wish and several other large donations just in the past few years alone. There's plenty of other companies with far more cash that don't donate nearly the amount that Blizzard does. Not to mention how volatile the gaming industry is. There has been far too many going bankrupt or being bought out by crappy parent companies for Blizzard to be throwing all of its cash down the hole.

Glad they're donating something at least rather than whining that Walmart or Google aren't donating a billion each to every states hospitals.

You seem like the type of person that would look at someone who just bought your lunch and say "What? No soda?". Sad, just sad.
