Moving ATX cable causes shutdown?

Hey guys, I'm having a really weird problem with my computer. I have a 990FXA-UD3 Rev 1.1. If the 24 pin ATX power cables moves at all, the system will lose power and shut down. I have another motherboard, an 870A-UD3 Rev 3.0, and I tried my parts in that motherboard. The 870A-UD3 does not experience a shutdown with ATX cable movement. So, I thought I had narrowed the problem down and RMAd the 990FXA. Got it back a week ago, and I was very disappointed see the exact same problem. Gigabyte has assured me it is a different motherboard and has been checked for quality. What should I do?

have you tried another psu yet?

Since another motherboard works perfectly, wouldn't that rule the PSU out?

Looks like the cabling on that ATX connector may not have good contact , I would wear rubber gloves and try to get the wires on ATX cable on the PSU seated deeper

You also might be shorting the board when you move the cable around

Well, I've tried pushing the cables in before and it did nothing. Anyway, wouldn't they eventually move back anyway? Don't think I'm shorting because it has the same problem on the motherboard box/testbench.

if they did indeed send you a different mobo and you getting the exact same problem, it is most likely the atx from the psu.
