Buying multiple CPUs for binning?

Hi all, long time lurker. I have most of the parts for my Haswell build including two 7950s which will be water cooled. Does it make much sense to buy a couple i7 4770Ks and keep the better one? I have a Microcenter near me so I can buy one there, then another from Newegg. I figure that the cost of doing this will be cheap compared to the cost of the build.

If you can get a full refund for the lesser, then yes. If not, then you'd be wasting money. I understand why you would do it, but unless you have the money on standby, I wouldn't do it.

I would just buy all of them from the microcenter, then keep the best one and return the rest.

Microcenter only allows one CPU per person. I'm thinking that I might only buy a 2nd if the 1st one overclocks really poorly. I'm going to delid it, so it might be difficult to judge overclockablility right?

go get some friends and/or family members

if they sell @ microcenter like the 3770k
you can buy all you want from there and resell what you dont like in here
